TRUST IN HIS PROMISES

Bible Reading: PSALM 86:11-17

“O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid”

God’s enduring blessing and teaching come through troubles and challenges.

This truth was proved many times over in the chequered life of David. In his psalms, we have a peep into the magnitude of some of his challenges as he reflected on them and sought supernatural help. The troubles that God allowed in his life drew him closer to heaven. That was not all. His life-threatening moments with his enemies led him to inspiring psalms that God has used over centuries to comfort believers and sinners alike. In verse 14, David is overwhelmed by “assemblies of violent men”. These are godless men who want to take his life.

They do not believe in the sanctity of life, even when the Lord has preserved their own lives. In the midst of such cruel people, David was not helpless. He was aware of the sovereign power capable of suppressing all other powers. He knows this power, manifesting as Jehovah God, does not shun those who come to Him in sincerity in their time of need. He does not run to man for help. Today’s world is also full of trouble which God uses to draw us closer to Him as our Lord Jesus Christ used the oasis of a frightening storm to perform the miracle of making a man to walk on water. There are always miracles bursting at the seams of challenges or troubles. All we need do is to remain calm and have faith in God, and expect “a token for good” to shame the enemy and glorify the Lord.

Victory is sweet after a hard-won battle fought by God for the believer.

PRAYER POINTS

Thank God for the spirit of wisdom and understanding. Thank Him for the access you have to His wisdom through Christ. Pray that there will be a fresh outpouring of this spirit in your life this year, and in the year to come in Jesus name.

Decree that you grow in divine wisdom daily just as Jesus did. Pray that you grow in wisdom, knowledge and understanding especially as it concerns every aspect of life in the remaining part of this year, and in 2026 in Jesus name.

Call forth the manifestation of wisdom in your minds, thought processes and actions. Ask that this spirit will no longer lie dormant within you but will be active and visible to all through your words, actions and decisions in Jesus name.

Ask for God to surround you with men and women of renowned wisdom and understanding in this generation. Pray that you will actively seek and keep wise counsel concerning every aspect of your life . Ask that you are equipped to let go of your own understanding. Pray that you will be willing to depend solely on God and the wise counsel He surrounds you with in Jesus name.

Wisdom brings increase and gives access to wealth. Pray that the wisdom of God will reveal to you the hidden treasures in the secret places of wealth in your land. Decree that the vault of resources is thrown open to you in this land even as you apply divine wisdom in the work of yours hands, businesses and careers in Jesus name.

The Spirit of the Lord is also the Spirit of Revelation. Pray that you will not be in the dark concerning 2026. Pray that God will reveal His purpose and mission for your lives in the year 2026. Pray that life will not just happen to you in the coming year, but that through the Spirit of revelation and discernment you will always be one step ahead all the time in Jesus name.

Pray for God to reveal himself to you anew in this coming year . Pray for the eyes of your understanding to be flooded with light, that you may know the height, the depth and the breadth of the love God has for you in Jesus name.

Pray for establishment. Pray that through divine wisdom, you become established in Jesus name.

Ask that the wisdom of God gives us ideas for witty inventions and innovations that will bring us to the place of positive notoriety and prominence in this land in Jesus name .
